The heat rays from the sun can cause high interior temperatures.
This heat leads to discomfort or more, and air-conditioning systems are less efficient if they have to cope with large temperature differences and need to increase capacity.
Umisol® window films reflect the heat of the sun, resulting in noticeable drops in temperature. You can enjoy an optimal comfort.
The installation of Umisol® window films considerably reduces the cooling capacity required from the air-conditioning. Your climate control uses less energy and can lead to savings on air-conditioning use of up to 25%.
Umisol® sun-protection window films work like a filter. The higher the outside temperature, the more Umisol® reduces the temperature indoors. The best results will be achieved if foil is installed on all windows that let in the sun’s rays.
Umisol Group NV undertakes to provide high-end, quality window film. We offer a manufacturer’s guarantee of 10 years on our Umisol® window films.
The life of the foils is actually much longer. You can be sure that Umisol® foils will retain their visual clarity and quality properties. Refreshing coolness in summer and pleasant warmth in winter.
Listed buildings such as this castle are grateful to be able to make use of the appearance of Umisol®. The installation of this glass foil does not change the look of the building. Umisol® resists 99% of the ultraviolet radiation and blocks up to 93% of the troublesome infrared heat radiation. This unique combination ensures that there can be no more discolouration of curtains, flooring, furniture, etc. Because most listed buildings don't have any cooling systems, the internal temperature can get very high. The whole building is heated up which can lead to thermal discomfort. Umisol® can result in differences up to 10 degrees °c in buildings with no cooling systems.
This lovely building in Brussels suffered from the greenhouse-effect in the months May to November. The installation of Umisol® brought a solution for the high internal temperatures without darkening the windows. The windows were not tinted and so had no resistance to heat from the sun. 570 m² of glass foil was installed which resulted in a dramatic drop in temperature. The installation meant the building could no longer be heated up through the windows which can result into temperature drops of up to 10°C to the internal temperature. This ensured a pleasant thermal comfort. Umisol® is a sun-blind that works effectively at every time of day without needing to be operated or the risk of mechanical faults.
This unique property houses 27 apartments in the heart of Amsterdam. The many windows provide stunning views over the canals, but also attract a lot of heat inside during the summer. The high internal temperatures caused an unpleasant thermal comfort for the visitors. It was decided to provide the windows of the apartments with Umisol IR window filters. These highly efficient insulating and transparent film creates a maximum insulation so that the most constant temperature is reached. Umisol® IR filters provide effective solar control in summer and an energy-efficient thermal insulation in winter.
